Conversion into a residential building
These four buildings have been completely renovated and converted into student housing units (kots), studios and luxury apartments. Floors were added using a light coffer-type structure and a prefabricated timber frame. The objective was twofold: reduce the loads on the existing structures and speed up completion. The coffered precast concrete floors and walls were pre-fitted with around 30 cm of insulation in order to meet EPB requirements and meet most soundproofing standards. Inside, this new structure was fitted with an inner wall hiding special techniques, and a roughcast on insulation was applied on the outside.
