CIT Blaton was entrusted with the construction of Orange new corporate headquartes. In particular, this major project stresses the importance of sustainable development in construction. With a total surface area of approximately 47,000 m², it is composed of 3 levels of underground car park, a ground floor with reception hall, conference room, kitchen and restaurant, 5 levels of offices and a technical level.
The project had to be completed within a particularly short deadline (20 months) given the scope of the works. The building has a footprint of 100 m by 70 m for the underground levels and 80 m by 60 m for the superstructure. Work in two shifts and on Saturdays was required to meet deadlines. Likewise, prefabrication was maximised: hollow-core slabs, prestressed trusses, round and square columns on several levels, prefabricated acroterion wall, etc. The heaviest and bulkiest elements were even prefabricated on site. The worksite was divided into 4 areas, which operated almost as four independent building sites at different stages of advancement.
