Sustainability
The art of building tomorrow
Quality, safety, innovation, environment protection, or investments: at CIT Blaton, our commitments cover all these areas, and more.
CIT Blaton has been taking environmental steps for many years to reduce its carbon footprint.
In 2010, CIT Blaton built the first passive office building in Brussels for its own headquarters in Schaerbeek. Since 2018, CIT Blaton has also held the CO2 Neutral certification for this building.
In 2020, CIT Blaton became the first company to obtain the Level 3 Ecodynamic Enterprise label, the highest distinction in Brussels for good environmental management practices.
Ever since 2023, the need to integrate the concepts of sustainability and renewable resources into the construction sector has breathed new life into wood as a building material. CIT Blaton is partnering with public investors to support the development of MSP Bois, a new industrial player in timber construction. Our engineering office incorporates these new timber construction processes.
In September 2023, BCCA awarded CIT Blaton the CO2 Performance Ladder Level 3 certificate. We are currently engaged in a process aimed at obtaining the CO2 Performance Ladder Level 5 certificate.
The year 2024 was a new milestone in our commitment to the sustainability report.
