Five large glass roofs let natural light inside the new Cloche d´Or shopping centre in Gasperich (Luxembourg). Their arched shape adds a great deal of lightness to the metal structure. The smallest glass roof covers an area of 430 m² and the largest 680 m².
Our façade expert was involved in the various stages:
- Design: based on the architects' 3D design, a new 3D model was produced to optimize the dimensions of the glazing components and technical requirements for assembly.
- Trial assembly in the workshop to ensure the glass roof geometry would be accurate.
- Positioning of the different sections on-site and connection between them.
- Final stage involving the fitting of glass panes of different shapes, ensuring a perfect seal for each.
