Renovation of a hospital
The project involves not only the construction of a new, 221-bed hospital for geriatrics and specialised care, but also the refurbishment of the current clinic into a seniors rest and nursing home with 97 places and a day reception centre. The buildings with heritage value have been restored to house the general and administrative services. The development of new architectural designs integrates hospital services of contemporary standards in several buildings and various levels. The preservation of the old architectural appearance – brick- and stonework, slate roofs restored according to the same requirements as those applied to listed monuments – is completed with high thermal performance lacquered aluminium joinery. The technical responses to current indoor comfort and climate needs entail double insulation and interior finishing works in line with the new intended use. CIT Blaton is in charge of the coordination and execution of all the finishing and all special techniques.
