The Connector links the departure hall and the boarding areas of jetty A (Topaze Building). A 38,000 m² building (200 m long and 50 m wide) on 3 levels replaces the current tunnel. The main aim is to improve the airport infrastructure and the comfort of passengers, saving them from taking a long underground corridor. The architecture is contemporary and the technologies used are cutting edge. After automated access control, passengers enter the first part of the Connector, where they go through the security checks set up on a vast screening platform. The building also accommodates retail units.
