Construction of a 1 km metro test track

The 4 metro lines in Brussels cover 40 km. More than a hundred trains cover these kilometres every day. To ensure passenger safety and the good condition of its vehicles, the STIB-MIVB regularly overhauls its vehicles.
CIT Blaton and BPC group have been entrusted with the construction of a new one-kilometre test track for the Erasme depot in Anderlecht.
Work is due to start in 2024 and is scheduled to take 12 months.
