Renovation of the operating theatre

CIT Blaton has renovated part of the operating theatre of Onze-Lieve-Vrouw hospital in Asse. The works have to be carried out whilst part of the operating theatre remains in operation. The teams need to perform the noisiest works during the day and according to a restricted timetable so as to cause as little hindrance as possible in the surgery schedule. Tests also had to be carried out to certify the tightness of the partitions put in place to separate the area of the works from the area in operation. Finally, very short turnaround time was allocated between the different phases, bearing in mind that all the special techniques are to be renewed (ventilation units, medical fluids, electric panels, etc.).
