Modular housing with CIT Blaton and Wonen in Vlaanderen
The need for quality social housing, emergency housing and housing for the homeless or other specific target groups is high. Building these homes, on the other hand, takes a long time. What if we were to say that it is possible to do things differently?
Thanks to Wonen in Vlaanderen's modular housing framework agreement, you can have modular housing built much more quickly, and under the conditions laid down until 2027.
A cosy nest built like a custom high-rise apartment block
CIT Blaton, in collaboration with Aché Terra architects, presents JengaNest: a modular housing concept with wooden structures that exudes a sense of well-being and warmth. By creatively interchanging volumes, unique buildings are always created, in which every space is meaningfully utilized.
CIT Blaton works with fixed modules that are entirely produced off-site in 3D and assembled on site in no time at all. The modules themselves offer ample scope for flexible home design.
By cleverly linking different modular volumes, they deliberately create open spaces for terraces, open meeting places, ... Spaces where connection and communication are possible, and where social control makes each building a haven of peace.
The combined modular houses are reminiscent of Jenga, the tower that stands
