6,000 visitors to the CIT Blaton worksites

On Sunday, 26 May, Embuild organised Open Sites Day.

Despite the rather changeable weather, more than 6,000 curious visitors and enthusiasts visited CIT Blaton's construction sites.

🎨International exhibition centre BRUSK in Bruges
The site was also selected by Embuid West Flanders to host a delegation of professionals from the construction industry.

BRUSK will be a dynamic new cultural venue for international exhibitions. It will be a state-of-the-art museum building that values integral sustainability, architectural innovation and harmony. In total, it will be a 20,000 m² site that will be attractive and accessible to the public.

🏥 The CHwapi in Tournai
The hospital's management team showed visitors the different uses of the various spaces, the choices made to provide patients with a humane environment and the finishing touches discussed with the hospital's teams.

Consisting of a three-storey base and two highly modular prisms that can be quickly adapted if necessary, the hospital accommodates 708 beds for standard admission and 140 beds for day admission.

This project is being carried out by Galère, Dherte and Tradeco.

🛥️ Royerssluis in Antwerp

Immersed in the heart of the basin, visitors had a unique view of the cofferdam and temporary bridge, the giant construction pit and the lock keeper's house on its promontory.

The Royers Lock connects the Scheldt to the Albert Canal and has been undergoing major renovation by our colleagues from the Maritime Access Department and partners since 2021. The lock will be made longer and wider, allowing more and larger inland waterway vessels to navigate more smoothly to and from the Albert Canal.

This project is being carried out by Artes Group, Boskalis Netherlands, Mobilis TBI and STADSBADER on behalf of the Department of Mobility and Public Works and the Port of Antwerp-Bruges.

CIT Blaton's management and site teams are delighted to share their expertise with you and look forward to seeing you again next year, when we will open the doors of new and equally impressive sites.
